Rupert Gerl (born August 22, 1961 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

For the season 1987/88 Gerl moved together with Adrian Spyrka from the amateurs of Borussia Dortmund to the professional squad. He reinforced the storm to Frank Mill , Norbert Dickel and Daniel Simmes . In the Bundesliga he was used four times under coach Reinhard Saftig . His debut was on the 11th match day when he was substituted on in the 77th minute of the game, the game was lost 0-2 against Karlsruher SC . In the winter break of the following season he moved to SpVg Marl .
