Rupert Riess

Rupert Riess (born November 6, 1980 in Salzburg ) is a former Austrian judoka .

biography

Rupert Riess began his career at the Rauris judo club. In the junior division he achieved some respectable successes and so he reached third place at the Junior World Championship in Cali in 1998. After graduating from high school, he signed up for the Army Sports Center and was an integral part of the Austrian national team for years . He achieved his best placement in the World Cup in 2002 in Sofia with third place. He achieved the same result in Borås in 2006 .

Rupert Riess is an executive officer of the Federal Police .

In his homeland he is also known as a successful Ranggler and won the Hundstoa Ranggeln three times .
