Rupert Schärfl
Rupert Schärfl (born November 5, 1920 in Oberkatzbach ; † October 31, 2007 ) was a German local politician.
Life
Schärfl comes from the Stögerhof in Oberkatzbach. In January 1946 he was elected mayor of Ramerberg in the first free local elections in Bavaria after the end of World War II and remained in office for 50 years until the local elections in 1996.
In addition, he campaigned for the preservation of evidence of religious folk art. In 1998 he donated a figure of James from the church of Kirchreit to the municipal museum in Wasserburg.
