Ruperta Lichtenecker

Ruperta Lichtenecker (born June 21, 1965 in Bad Zell , Mühlviertel ) is an Austrian politician ( The Greens ). Between 2003 and 2006 she was a member of the Austrian Federal Council . From October 30, 2006 to November 8, 2017, Lichtenecker was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Life

She studied economics at the Universities of Linz and Vienna and received her doctorate in 1994. From 1996 to 2001 she worked as a social worker. Since 2002 she has been a university assistant at the Johannes Kepler University Linz , Institute for Economics, Department of Economic Policy.

Her political career began in 1991 in the provincial executive committee of the Greens Bildungswerkstatt Upper Austria and the provincial executive committee of the Greens. In 2000 she became a member of the extended federal board of the Greens.

In June 2017 she became the top candidate on the list of Upper Austria. Greens elected for the 2017 National Council election.

From November 2018 she headed the government office of Provincial Councilor Rudi Anschober . In January 2020 she became his deputy head of cabinet in the Ministry of Social Affairs. In the course of the COVID-19 pandemic , she was appointed to the coronavirus task force at the Ministry of Health.
