Russula subsect. Virescentinae is a subsection of the genus Russula , which Bon stands within the section Heterophyllae .
features
The hat skin rips open on the representatives of this subsection. The taste is completely mild and the spore powder is white to off-white. The cap skin has awl and thickened hyphae end cells at the base, under which the often almost spherical cells lie. There are no pileocystids in the cap skin , but cystids occur on the surface of the stalk. The pigeons are preferred under deciduous trees. The only species, and thus at the same time a type, is Russula virescens , the green field blubber .
Systematics
Both in Bon and in Singer the taxon has the rank of a subsection. At Sarnari it has the rank of a section and is on an equal footing with the sister section Heterophyllae , which unites the subsections Heterophyllae , Grisinae and Ilicinae . At Romagnesi it also has the rank of a section, but also includes the representatives of the sub-section Amoeninae , which he summarizes in the Amoena group and contrasts with the Virescens group .
