Ruth Stahl (* 1928 in Nuremberg ) is a German artist best known for her etchings and watercolors .

Life

Ruth Stahl was a student at the Nuremberg textile workshop from 1943 to 1945. From 1947 to 1950 she attended the painting and drawing school in Nuremberg. In 1951 the company moved to Celle . During this time she created drawings and designed theater posters, exhibition posters and book illustrations. From 1959 to 1963 she was at the International Summer Academy for Fine Arts in Salzburg with Oskar Kokoschka . In 1972 she took part in a course in etching technology with H. Steidle at the Folkwang School in Essen . From 1976 to 1978 she taught at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg. Ruth Stahl has lived and worked in Osnabrück since 1956. Since 1964 she has traveled to Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, Austria and Switzerland, where she created numerous watercolors.
