The Ruvu (formerly Kingani) is a river in the Pwani region in eastern Tanzania .

He is the main supplier of water to the city of Dar es Salaam . Due to the deforestation and climatic changes in the region, its runoff is steadily decreasing.
Hydrometry
The average monthly flow through the Ruvu river in m³ / s, measured at the hydrological station at the Morogoro road bridge (approx. 40 km above the mouth). The mean annual flow rate observed there was 58 m³ / s, fed by almost the entire catchment area of the river, calculated with data from a period of 46 years, 1958–2004 (values read from a diagram).
