Ryōhei Sakaguchi ( Japanese 阪 口 竜 平 Sakaguchi Ryōhei ; born April 5, 1997 in Yawata ) is a Japanese athlete who specializes in the obstacle course .

Athletic career

Ryōhei Sakaguchi gained his first international experience in 2016 when he retired from the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz in the 1500-meter run with 3: 49.21 minutes in the first round. In 2019 he took part in the obstacle course at the Summer Universiade in Naples , where he finished sixth in 8: 41.64 minutes.

In 2019 Sakaguchi became the Japanese champion in the obstacle course. He studied at Tōkai University until 2020 and then joined the company team at SG Holdings .
