Ryūtarō Matsumoto ( Japanese 松本 隆 太郎 , Matsumoto Ryūtarō ; born January 16, 1986 in Gunma Prefecture ) is a Japanese wrestler .

Matsumoto is from Chiyoda . He is trained by Takumi Adachi in his club Gunma Yakult . After he finished eighth in the weight class up to 60 kg in the Greco-Roman style at the World Wrestling Championships in Herning in 2008 , he won the silver medal in the same weight class in Moscow in 2010 . In London he won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics .
