Ryan Collier (born August 9, 1991 in Amsterdam ) is a Canadian - Dutch ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tilburg Trappers in the German Oberliga Nord since 2015 .

Career

Clubs

Ryan Collier, who was born in the Netherlands to Canadian parents, began his career in the youth division of Amstel Tijgers Amsterdam from his hometown. At the age of 15 he went to his parents' homeland and played for various youth teams there and in the United States. In 2011 he began studying at the renowned Bowdoin College in Brunswick (Maine) and played for the student team there in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association for the next four years . In 2015 he returned to the Netherlands and joined the Tilburg Trappers , who are the only Dutch team to play in the German Oberliga Nord and won the German Oberliga Championship in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

International

Collier first played for the Dutch national team in February 2016 in qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . He also took part in the Division II World Cup in 2018 when he was promoted to Division I with the Dutch.
