Ryan France (born December 13, 1980 in Sheffield ) is a former English football player who was last active at Sheffield United and was preferably used in the left midfield .
Player career
Ryan France started his career as a winger with the amateur club Alfreton Town. From there, after completing his studies in " Sport & Exercise Science " and mathematics at Nottingham Trent University in 2003, he made the leap to Hull City , which was then still playing in the Football League Third Division .
With Hull, France, who occasionally acted as a full-back , achieved three promotions within just four years and thus made it into the Premier League . There he completed only two top division games in the 2008/09 season and released for a club change with eight teammates after his contract expired in June 2009. On July 24, 2009, he joined the second division club Sheffield United after he had previously auditioned in vain for city rivals Sheffield Wednesday .
