Ryszard Naskręcki

Ryszard Naskręcki (born December 17, 1958 in Ostrów Wielkopolski ) is a Polish physicist and Vice-Rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan for Science and International Cooperation. As a scientist, he specializes in photophysics and optical spectroscopy as well as the physics of the visual process . He also holds a chair for quantum electronics in the Faculty of Physics at Adam Mickiewicz University and heads the Department of Visual Physics and Optometry .

academic career

After completing a physics degree at Adam Mickiewicz University, he defended a doctorate in 1992 and a habilitation in 2001. In 2003 he was appointed associate professor in the Faculty of Physics at Adam Mickiewicz University, and in 2010 he received the title of Professor of Physical Sciences.

Between 1994 and 1999 he worked at the Saclay Nuclear Research Center and at the University of Lille .

From 2002 to 2005 he was Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics at Adam Mickiewicz University. From 2005 to 2012 he held the office of dean and at the same time was chairman of the Polish forum of the deans of physical faculties and directors of physical institutes . He is a member of the Physics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences . He is also an expert of the Polish Accreditation Committee (group for mathematical, physical and chemical sciences).

He has participated in numerous conferences on the design of the European Higher Education Area , he is co-author of training programs for ophthalmologists and optometrists at the Faculty of Physics at Adam Mickiewicz University. He is the author of numerous reports and reports for companies and institutions in the optical industry as well as for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Health.

In 2014 he was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland .
