Rytis Mykolas Račkauskas
Rytis Mykolas Račkauskas (born September 25, 1959 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian politician. He is the mayor of Panevėžys .
Life
After graduation in 1977 at the Juozas-Balčikonis Middle School graduated Račkauskas 1982 diploma in architecture at Inžinerinis statybos institutas in Vilnius and was an architect . From 1988 he was a member of Lietuvos Persitvarkymo Sąjūdis . In 1989 he was one of the organizers of the Baltic Way campaign . From 1990 to 1997 he was a member of the Panevėžys City Council . He was the owner of the company IĮ "improvizacija". In the local elections in Lithuania in 2015 he became mayor in the electoral list " Povilas Urbšys už sąrašą KARTU".
From 1993 to 1996 Račkauskas was a member of the Tėvynės sąjunga (Lietuvos konservatoriai).
He is married. With his wife Jūratė he has the children Giedrius and Ignas.
