Sándor Dudás

Sándor Dudás (born April 10, 1948 in Bačka Topola ) is a Hungarian sculptor and medalist .

Dudás completed his training in sculpture from 1976 to 1981 in Zagreb with the academic sculptor Želimir Janeš and graduated in 1981 from the Art Academy of the University of Zagreb . He then worked as an art teacher and furniture designer and created sculptures and medals. In 1992 he moved to Hungary. In addition to exhibitions in Iserlohn (1986), the Kisgaléria in Szentes (1988), the Tornyai János Múzeum in Hódmezővásárhely (1988, 1990) or the Tiszai Galéria in Csongrád , he was also able to win his medals at the renowned international exhibition FIDEM 1994 of the International Federation of Medallic Art and the national Országos Érembiennále in Sopron (1999, 2003, 2005 and 2013). He received awards at FIDEM in Lisbon in 1994 and in 2003 at a solo exhibition in his hometown of Topola.

Since 1994, besides his artistic work as a sculptor, he has been the director of the Alkotóház-Művésztelep artist house in Csongrád , Hungary , which has become known through workshops and symposia for bronze and other (sculpture) techniques.
