Csongrád ([ ˈtʃoŋɡraːd ]; German Tschongrad ) is a town in Hungary in the Csongrád-Csanád county with 18,830 inhabitants (as of 2018). It is located on the right bank of the Tisza ( Hungarian : Tisza ), about 27 km east of Kiskunfélegyháza .
Attractions
Csongrád is a very "green" city: almost every street is an avenue with some very old and tall trees. In the Tari László Múzeum you can see an exhibition about the life and work of lowland farmers. There is an Art Nouveau high school .
Csongrád has a year-round thermal spa , a recreation area at the Körös estuary and an old arm of the Tisza, which is ideal for fishing.
