Csongrád small area

The small area Csongrád ( Hungarian Csongrádi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Csongrád county in the southern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, all four localities were transferred to the district of Csongrád (Hungarian Csongrádi járás ).

At the end of 2012, 22,697 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​339.24 km². The small area had the lowest number of inhabitants in the county, the population density of 67 inhabitants / km² was below the county average (96 inhabitants / km²)

The administrative seat was in the only city, Csongrád (16961 Ew.).
