Makó small area

The Makó small area ( Hungarian Makói kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Csongrád county in the southern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, 15 of the 17 localities were transferred to the subsequent Makó (Hungarian Makói járás ) district, Ferencszállás and Klárafalva were assigned to the Szeged district ( Szegedi járás in Hungarian ).

At the end of 2012, 45,706 people lived in an area of ​​703.74 km². The population density was 65 inhabitants / km² below the county average.

The administrative seat was in the city of Makó .
