Small area of ​​Szeged

The small area of ​​Szeged ( Hungarian Szegedi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Csongrád county in the Southern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, all 12 localities moved to the Szeged district (Hungarian: Szegedi járás ), which was reinforced by two localities from the Makó small area .

At the end of 201 there were 199,959 inhabitants on an area of ​​753.10 km². Just like the population, the population density (265.5 inhabitants / km²) was the highest in the county.

The administrative seat was in the county town of Szeged .
