Szentes small area

The Szentes small area ( Hungarian Szentesi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Csongrád county in the southern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, all eight localities were transferred to the Szentes District (Hungarian Szentesi járás ).

At the end of 2012, 41,249 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​813.84 km². The small area was the largest in the county, the population density was 51 inhabitants / km².

The administrative seat was in the only city, Szentes (28.456 Ew.). Nagymágocs (3,089 Ew.) And Szegvár (4,506 Ew.) Were large communities (Hungarian nagyközség ).
