Mórahalom small area

The small area Mórahalom ( Hungarian Mórahalomi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Csongrád county in the southern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, all localities were transferred to the following district of Mórahalom (Hungarian Mórahalomi járás ), which was reinforced by a village from the small area of ​​Szeged .

At the end of 2012 there were 25,377 inhabitants in an area of ​​534.82 km². The population density of 47 inhabitants / km² was half as high as the county average.

The administrative seat was the only city Mórahalom (5,822 Ew.).
