Domaszék is a large Hungarian municipality in the Szeged district in the Csongrád-Csanád county .
Geographical location
Domaszék is located 11.5 kilometers west of the city of Szeged . Neighboring communities to the west are Mórahalom and Zákányszék . In the eastern part of the municipality there is an extensive allotment garden area ( Domaszéki kiskertek ).
history
The place has been an independent municipality since 1952, before it belonged to the city of Szeged.

traffic
The main road 55 runs south of Domaszék, the national road 5431 to the north and the M5 motorway to the east . The nearest train station is in Szeged. Since 1927 the place was connected to a small railway line ( Szegedi Kisvasút ) from Szeged to Pusztamérges . However, traffic on this route was stopped in 1975.
