Sándor Kisfaludy
Sándor Kisfaludy von Kisfalud [ ˈʃaːndor ˈkiʃfɒludi ] (born September 27, 1772 in Sümeg , Zala county ; † October 28, 1844 ibid) was a Hungarian poet and playwright .
In 1796, Sándor Kisfaludy took part in the Italian campaign against Napoléon Bonaparte and came to Provence as a prisoner of war . There he met his muse Róza Szegedy during the grape harvest , whom he married in 1800.
Kisfaludy's birth and death house in Sümeg was set up as a memorial museum. His younger brother is the playwright Károly Kisfaludy .
