São Domingos is a Portuguese town and former municipality in the Alentejo .

The former municipality ( freguesia ) belongs to the district ( concelho ) of Santiago do Cacém . The community had an area of 129.8 km² and 852 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
As part of the administrative reorganization in Portugal on September 29, 2013, the municipality of São Domingos was merged with the municipality of Vale de Água to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de São Domingos e Vale de Água . The headquarters of the new municipality was São Domingos.
