São Salvador e Santa Maria is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese region of Alentejo . It represents the inner city municipality of the small town of Odemira .
The municipality was created on September 29, 2013 as part of the administrative reorganization in Portugal from the merger of the municipalities of São Salvador and Santa Maria (Odemira) . The seat was São Salvador.
3,114 inhabitants live in an area of 121 km² (as of June 30, 2011).
