The Saxon Swimming Association eV (SSV) is the national swimming association of the Free State of Saxony .

The state swimming association was founded on September 22nd, 1990 in Dresden . Today the office is located in the Leipzig "House of Sports". The SSV is a member of the German Swimming Association , the Southern German Swimming Association and the State Sports Association of Saxony . On January 1, 2011, it had 16,403 members in 94 swimming clubs or departments. The president of the SSV is Wolfram Sperling.

The Saxon Swimming Association is responsible, among other things, for promoting the four disciplines of swimming, diving , water polo and synchronized swimming . It is subdivided into three “swimming areas”, the boundaries of which are based on those of the former administrative districts of Saxony. Accordingly, there are the swimming districts of Dresden (approx. 40 clubs), Leipzig (approx. 30 clubs) and South-West Saxony (approx. 30 clubs) below the Saxon Swimming Association.
