The Säulinghaus is a refuge for nature lovers in Germany in the Ammergau Alps in Tyrol . It lies to the west below the Säuling summit, over which the border with Bavaria runs, at an altitude of 1693 m above sea level. A. (according to own information 1720 m ).
history
In 1922, the Augsburg section of the Friends of Nature purchased a piece of land on the Säuling to build a hut. Construction began in the summer of 1924, and the quarry stone hut was opened at Pentecost 1926 . It offered accommodation for around 100 people with five rooms with 21 beds and a mass bedroom.
