The Sons of Hamburg are a Hamburg music formation consisting of Joja Wendt , Stefan Gwildis and Rolf Claussen . The formation appeared for the first time on January 2, 2011 in this combination in the Laeiszhalle Hamburg.

The three artists are successful as soloists and know each other from their youth together. After 40 years they met to conquer the stages together. The appearances take place at irregular intervals.

Joja Wendt as a pianist on the grand piano and piano plays the music directions jazz , classical , pop and boogie . Stefan Gwildis on drums sings newly arranged soul classics in German and his own songs. Rolf Claussen with the bass is known for his improvised slapstick. Her repertoire also includes Low German songs such as An de Eck steiht'n Jung mit'n Tüdelband .

At first only active in Hamburg and the surrounding area, the band went on tour for the first time in 2017. After appearances like at the Kieler Woche 2018, a Christmas tour through northern Germany followed in the same year and in 2019.
