Sönke Albers

Sönke Albers (born February 16, 1948 in Bremen ) is a German economist and professor for innovation and marketing at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and the Kühne Logistics University Hamburg.

biography

Albers attended the Hermann-Böse-Gymnasium in Bremen and studied business administration at the University of Hamburg . He obtained his doctorate in 1977. rer. pole. After further studies at Stanford University and the University of Kiel, he received his habilitation in business administration at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Kiel University in 1982 . In 1984 Albers was appointed professor in private service at the newly founded scientific university for corporate management WHU in Koblenz . In 1986 he switched to a professorship for marketing at the University of Lüneburg and in 1990 he was appointed professor for business administration, especially marketing, at the University of Kiel and appointed director of the institute for business administration. In addition, he has been director of the Institute for Business Innovation Research at the University of Kiel since 1994. Albers had been a member of the Joachim Jungius Society of Sciences since 1999, and in 2005 he was accepted into the Academy of Sciences in Hamburg . Since 2009 he has been editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Business Research . In 2010 Sönke Albers accepted a position at the private Kühne Logistics University Hamburg, where he was appointed Dean of Research. Since October 1, 2010, he has been on leave from teaching at Kiel University, but continues to do research there.
