Southern HVDC Hami – Zhengzhou
The Southern HVDC Hami – Zhengzhou is a high-voltage direct current transmission line in the People's Republic of China between northwest China and central China. It is the first HVDC project to be implemented by the Northwest China Grid Company , which in turn is part of the State Grid Corporation , which is owned by the Chinese state . Construction of this transmission line began on May 13, 2012 and was commissioned in January 2014. The cost was estimated at 23.4 billion yuan .
