The Southeast Asian Formula 4 Championship is an automobile racing series according to the FIA - Formula 4 regulations in Southeast Asia. The Southeast Asian Formula 4 Championship was held for the first time in 2016/17 .
history
After the FIA decided to introduce Formula 4 regulations in 2013, the Southeast Asian Formula 4 championship was launched for the 2016 season. The championship is hosted by the Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) and the Asian Autosport Action Group (AAA). The term F4 SEA Championship is also used for the championship.

In contrast to other FIA Formula 4 championships, all vehicles in the Southeast Asian Formula 4 championship are driven by a single racing team - Meritus.GP. There are 6 races per race weekend to keep the costs of the championship as low as possible.
