1971 Southeast Asian Games / Badminton
Champions in badminton were in the South East Asia Games in 1971 in Kuala Lumpur determined in five individual and two team disciplines. The games took place from December 11th to 18th, 1971. Placement games for 3rd place were held, with San Myint (Burma), Yap Hei Lin (Malaysia), Pornchai Sakuntaniyom / Chirasak Champakao , Petchroong Liengtrakulngam / Sumol Chanklum (all Thailand) and Smas Slayman / Thi Do My Lan (Khmer) in these games and had to make do with 4th place.
