Südtirol 24h was a German-language South Tyrolean daily newspaper that was published in Bolzano from September 2003 to October 2004 . Its subtitle was The Fast Daily Newspaper for Politics, Business and Culture . It was printed in broadsheet format . A special feature was its extremely small size of only four printed pages and the correspondingly low price of 30 cents.

history

Südtirol 24h was founded by the Bolzano publishing house ff-Media GmbH , publisher of the South Tyrolean weekly magazine "ff" , with the aim of placing a third German-language daily newspaper on the South Tyrolean market alongside the Dolomites and the New South Tyrolean daily newspaper . Issues appeared from Tuesday to Saturday. The first and only editor-in-chief in the history of the paper was Hans Karl Peterlini .

After about a year, the publishing house decided to discontinue the publication. Instead of the hoped-for 7,000 subscribers and 10,000 copies sold daily, Südtirol 24h recently had only 2,000 subscribers and a negligible number of freely sold copies.
