Süheyla Ünlü

Süheyla Ünlü (* 1990 in Berlin ) is a German actress with Turkish roots.

Life

Süheyla Ünlü grew up bilingual in Berlin. In 2006 she was Berlin champion in kickboxing (semi-contact). After finishing school, she trained as a technical assistant for data processing in construction from 2007 to 2010.

Before studying acting, she was part of the young DT ensemble . In 2011 she was invited to the 32nd Theatertreffen der Jugend with the production of Clash , directed by Nurkan Erpulat . 2014–2015 she was a guest at the Deutsches Theater Berlin in the production of Tea in the Harem of Archimedes (director: Nuran David Calis ), where she played Anita, the sister of the male main character Pat, who sells herself as a prostitute for a few francs .

From 2014 to 2018 Ünlü studied acting at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media . In 2016 she received a scholarship from the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover Foundation for further training as part of the promotion of young artists . During her studies she performed at the Studiotheater Hannover, made a guest appearance at the Staatstheater Braunschweig in 2017 and performed again in Between the Lines at the Deutsches Theater Berlin in 2017/2018 together with Kathleen Morgeneyer and Natali Seelig . Since the 2018/19 season, Ünlü has been a permanent member of the drama ensemble at the State Theater in Nuremberg .

Ünlü has worked in two short films for the HFF Munich and was also involved as a radio play speaker in a production by the NDR . She is a member of the German Stage Members' Cooperative (GDBA) and a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).

Ünlü currently lives (as of early 2019) in Nuremberg .
