Natali Seelig (* 1970 in Witten ) is a German actress .

Life

She grew up in Ulm, Basel and Liverpool, after which she lived in Hong Kong and in the Eifel. Seelig received her training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich, and in 1992 she took up her first engagement at the State Theater in Hanover . In 1993 she went to the Bavarian State Theater .

Here she received the Bavarian Award for Performing Arts in 1994 for her portrayal of Hedwig Ekdal in Die Wildente . Other roles here included Viola in Was ihr wollt (1995) and the girl in Outside Front Door (1996), where she worked for the first time with director Andreas Kriegenburg . Kriegenburg also directed Adela in García Lorca's Bernarda Albas Haus (1997), the blind in Dea Loher's Bluebeard - Hope of Women (first performance 1997), the governess in Büchner's Leonce and Lena (1998), the title role in Penthesilea (1999 ), Debuisson in Heiner Müller's The Commission , Julie in Danton's Death and Lulu in Frank Wedekind's Lulu .

In 1998 she was in the annual survey of the magazine Theater heute for Actress of the Year chosen. In 1999 she moved with Kriegenburg to the Burgtheater in Vienna, and since the 2002/2003 season she has been part of the ensemble of the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Here she appeared on stage as Marwood in Miss Sara Sampson by Lessing, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth , Countess Orsina in Emilia Galotti , Mrs. John in Die Ratten and Johanna in Die Jungfrau von Orléans . She has rarely been seen in film and television.
