Peter Blum (* 1991 in Mainz ) is a German actor .

Life

Peter Blum made his first stage experience in school theater . In addition, he was active as an extra at the Mainz State Theater from 2005 onwards . He attended the Bischöfliche Willigis-Gymnasium in Mainz, where he passed his Abitur in 2011. From 2011 to 2014 he was a member of the Mainz folk ensemble "Capella Moguntina".

Blum initially studied theater directing at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg from 2012 to 2014 , where he had lessons from Jörg Lichtenstein , Amelie Niermeyer , Kai Ohrem and Volker Lösch , among others . In 2014 he appeared in production for 36,566 days at the Salzburg Festival .

From 2015 to 2019 he completed his acting studies at the Bavarian Theater Academy "August Everding" in Munich . During his studies, Blum worked under the direction of Ulrich Rasche and Dimiter Gotscheff in two productions of the Munich Residenztheater , which were invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen . He also worked in independent theater productions. In 2016, Blum appeared with the theater collective “Tod & Teufel” in Samuel Beckett's Das letzte Band at the “WortSchauFestival” in the Pepper Theater in Munich-Neuperlach , where his acting performance under the direction of Makanian Zerefay was “expressly recognized”.

In the 2017/18 season he was a guest at the State Theater in Nuremberg in the German-language premiere of the play Abgefrackt! (Director: Klaus Kusenberg ) by British author Alistair Beaton . In the 2018/19 season he played in Tina Lanik's production of the play Junk by Ayad Akhtar at the Residenztheater Munich .

Since the 2019/20 season he has been part of the regular ensemble of the Regensburg Young Theater . There he made his debut as "Krümel" in Die Brüder Löwenherz . In the family play The Little Witch (based on Otfried Preußler ) he can be seen in several roles in the 2019/20 season.

Blum's first film work was the feature film Luna (2017) by director Khaled Kaissar in autumn 2015 . He also worked in short films that were made at the HFF Munich . The ZDF - " Herzkino " series Marie catches fire (2019) was Blum's first TV production.

Peter Blum lives in Regensburg .
