The Dorise publishing house was founded in 2003 by Dorothea Iser in castle founded. In 2010 the publishing house was relocated to Erfurt and the management was handed over to Inge Nedwed, the editing remained in Burg. The publishing house sees itself as a literary platform for authors from Central Germany. The journalistic focus is on texts that arise in writing rounds. In addition, new prose by young authors, poetry, travel literature and satire, photography, literary art observations as well as children's and youth literature are published.

In cooperation with the Friedrich-Bödecker-Kreis eV and the Literaturkreis Pelikan eV, anthologies are published by dorise-Verlag .

Works and authors

In addition to works by the publisher's founder Dorothea Iser and the publishing director Inge Nedwed, books have been published by Ursula Maria Djaschi, Susanne Laschütza , Monika Helmecke , Gundula Ihlefeldt, Jürgen Jankofsky , Siegfried Maaß , Christina Seidel , Rolf Winkler, Thurid Winkler and Wilfried Zacke, among others. In 2013 the anthology I die when I don't write, dedicated to the writer Brigitte Reimann from Burger , was published .
