Special A ( jap. S ・ Aス ペ シ ャ ル ・ エ ー, Supesharu Ē ) is a manga series by the illustrator Maki Minami . It is the Shōjo assigned genre of and was also known as anime - TV series implemented.

action

In the "Hakusenka-Oberschule" the classes are divided according to grades A (best) to F (worst). There are only three of the A classes, however, in the best of which, known as “Special-A”, or “SA” for short, only seven pupils are admitted and, accordingly, taught apart from the other pupils in a special school building called “Der Lustgarten”.

Hikari Hanazono ( 華園 光 , Hanazono Hikari) is the daughter of an ordinary carpenter. With him she learned wrestling as a hobby and was unbeaten. She is hyper-energetic, but also a real late bloomer. Since she lost to Kei Takishima ( 滝 島 彗 , Takishima Kei) in wrestling when she was six and experienced her first humiliation, she has tried hard and attended the extremely demanding elite school for the wealthy to defeat Kei. However, Kei is the best student at this school, a “perfect superman” who secretly influences his parents' Takishima group. So she is and remains “Number 2”. Again and again hurt by this in her ego, she competes with him at every opportunity, only to end up being narrowly inferior again and again.

Kei, who is usually very dismissive, however, also develops feelings for Hikari, even if he would never admit it publicly. Although there are always situations in which the two could get closer, Hikari is so absorbed in their personal duel that she does not notice his affection.
