The SB old 24 were steam locomotives of the Südbahngesellschaft (SB), a private Austrian-Hungarian railway company . From 1864 they got the series designation SB 30 .

The eight locomotives were delivered by the Esslingen machine factory in 1859. They resembled four nameless locomotives that had been built in the same year by the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik for the Kaiser Franz Joseph-Orientbahn and which were given the series number 25 at the Südbahn in 1861 . In contrast to the Wiener Neustädter machines, the Esslingen company had external control. In addition, there was absolutely no weather protection for the locomotive staff. Hall's cranks, which are prone to breakage, were probably the reason why no more were ordered after the eight machines.

From 1903 the locomotives were decommissioned. The last machine was sold in 1920.
