Kaiser Franz Joseph-Orientbahn
The kk privileged Kaiser Franz Joseph-Orientbahn (KFJOB) was a railway company in Austria , the majority of which were in what is now Hungary .
history
On October 8, 1856, the concession for the KFJOB was granted to a group of large Hungarian landowners. The KFJOB should include the following routes:
- Vienna - Ödenburg - Kanizsa - Essegg
- Neu-Szöny (today part of Komorn ) - Stuhlweissenburg - Essegg , possibly with a branch line to Fünfkirchen
- Ofen ( Buda ) - Groß-Kanizsa - Pöltschach (connection to the southern railway )
- Essegg - Semlin
Carl Etzel was appointed director of the company .
Construction began near Pettau at the end of 1857 .
On November 10, 1858, the KFJOB merged with the Südbahngesellschaft , which resulted in the lines to be built
- Marburg (or Pragerhof ) - oven ,
- Kanizsa - Stuhlweissenburg - Neu-Szöny (today part of Komorn ) and
- Ödenburg - Kanizsa
were restricted.
