The steam locomotive series SB 35b was a tender locomotive series of the Südbahngesellschaft (SB), a private Austrian-Hungarian railway company .

As the SB 35a series proved its worth, the SB wanted to purchase other, similar machines. Under the direction of Louis Adolf Gölsdorfs , ten pieces were ordered from the Esslingen machine factory , which were delivered in 1872/73. They differed from the SB 35a by the small control head customary in the factory and external inlet pipes.

After 1924 eight of them came to Italy , where they were given the series designation FS 453 and were soon taken out of service. The remaining two pieces (No. 992 and 1000) came to Yugoslavia and were assigned to the JDŽ 132 series with company numbers 17 and 18 .
