The SC 147 Karlsruhe (officially: Snooker Club 147 Karlsruhe eV ) is a 2004 founded snooker club from Karlsruhe .
history
The SC 147 Karlsruhe was founded in 2004. In 2006 the first team rose to the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time . Two years later, he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga . In the 2008/09 season they came there, with two points behind the fifth-placed 1st Münchner SC , in sixth place and thus directly relegated. After two seasons in the second division, relegation to the league followed in 2011 . As a league champion you managed to get back up a year later. In the 2013/14 season , as champions of the second division, the club returned to the first division after five years. In the following season , however, in eighth place, with only eight points, he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga, in which he was fourth in 2016 .
The club also won the Baden-Württemberg team cup championship three times (2005, 2011, 2012) and came third in the 2007 German team cup championship.
The multiple German snooker champion Frank Schröder has been playing for SC 147 Karlsruhe since 2007.
The number 147 in the club name is derived from the maximum break , in which 147 points are played in a row.
