history

In 1907 this changed when Mackenzie College decided not to take part in the São Paulo State Championship. Americano was then invited as a replacement. With the reinforcement of players from Mackenzie College, the club was runner-up behind Internacional .

In 1911 the club relocated to São Paulo. The main reason was to save on trips to the city, where most of the games were played. Despite a distance of less than 100 km, the journeys were still associated with considerable effort.

The winners are recognized by today's association FPF .

After AA São Bento was founded in 1914, several players moved to the club and others returned to Mackenzie College. As a result, the club was unable to participate in the state championship in 1914 and 1915. In 1916 they took part in the competition again and came in eighth. After that, Americano was dissolved.
