Trivia

His cousins Araken and Ary Patusca , the sons of Sizino Patusca, were also famous football players.

After Arnaldo a street in Santos was named after Arnaldo, the Rua Arnaldo Silveira.

In his honor, the newspaper A Tribuna published a poem on June 25, 1917:

  • Heróe internacional,
  • Perna de massaranduba
  • Que até mesmo o goal derruba
  • Se nicht for de pedra e cal.
  • Extrema esquerda cotuba,
  • Na pressa not tem rival,
  • Pequeno, como jujuba,
  • Caberia num dedal!
  • No nosso mundo sportivo,
  • Tão pequenino e tão vivo,
  • Tem provas esmagadoras
  • De que é bastante apreciado,
  • Causa de muito peccado
  • Para a alma das torcedoras!

In a friendly against Botafogo FC on April 14, 1918, Arnaldo attracted attention with a fair play gesture. At 6: 1 for Santos, he intentionally missed an unjustified penalty .
