Soccer

The football department was founded in 1908. The first team of SG Anspach rose in 2011 to the sixth class Association League Hessen (Staffel Süd). The game is played on the artificial turf field on Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Straße.

Handball

The first team plays in the District League C. The game is played in the large gym of the Adolf Reichwein School.

As a major social contribution to the city and to club life, the handball department organizes the Whitsun festival every year. The Whitsun festival consists of a handball tournament for leisure teams and a party in the evening.

Table tennis

The SG Anspach became the flagship of youth and schoolchildren support in the entire Hochtaunus district. From then on, many young stars also formed the skeleton of the first team. Among them are still illustrious names like Frank Schuler or Holger Reuter.

In the meantime, the department was headed by Erich Heuss for a short term before Jürgen Peters took over. In 1991, Jens Maurer, who was only 23 years old at the time, took over the helm, and from then on he worked for even better cooperation in the department. Various activities and celebrations came to the fore in addition to sporting development.

In 1994, three very promising talents, the Lilienthal and David Jüttner brothers, left us to join higher-class clubs. During their time at SG Anspach, the three youngsters collected numerous Hessen and Southwest titles. After a few lean years in both the adult and youth sectors, the department is looking up again in the new millennium. Marc Rellt had meanwhile taken over the scepter from Amir Nemat as head of the department. The department's greatest success to date also fell during his tenure. With the 1st men's team promotion to the upper league, the fourth-highest German division, was achieved. They stayed in this class for three years, before various players leaving caused a two-time relegation and a return to the association league.

The meanwhile new and still acting department head Siegfried Kuhnert wrote the immediate return to the league on the flag. And this is exactly what was already implemented in the 2008/2009 season. In the 2009/2010 season, the league troop celebrated relegation. Jens Schabacker also played in the European Youth Championships and Marc Rode also made his debut in the national jersey. The youth team became Southwest German Champion in May 2010 and fourth in the German Championship just one month later.

athletics

There is an adult group and a school group from A to C youth. Training takes place on the sports field at the Adolf Reichwein School.

do gymnastics

The gymnastics department is by far the largest department. The large number of instructors and training courses confirms this. There are offers for small and preschool children, schoolchildren and adults.

Sports facilities

The training offers and competitions are held in the sports facilities of the city of Neu-Anspach. The hall on Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Straße was given a name for the first time in 2019 in “Walter-Ernst-Halle”. It thus bears the name of an SG Anspach club icon.
