The SG Dielheim (full name Sportgemeinschaft 1945 Dielheim eV ) is a football club from the municipality of Dielheim in the Rhein-Neckar district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

After approval by the then US military government , the Sportgemeinschaft 1945 Dielheim eV was founded on October 2, 1945 .

Until 1951 the club played in the district class or A-class Heidelberg, followed by promotion and two seasons in the 2nd amateur league Rhein-Neckar. Between 1953 and 1969 more seasons followed in the A-Class Heidelberg, only interrupted by the season 1956/57 in the 2nd amateur league. 1969 succeeded the renewed promotion to the 2nd amateur league, which the SG Dielheim belonged to their relegation to the district league Heidelberg-Sinsheim after the 1976/77 season.

The SG Dielheim took part in the 1st main round of the DFB Cup 1976/77 , in which they lost 2: 8 to the Württemberg representative TV Unterboihingen .

After five seasons in the regional league, he was promoted to the regional league Rhein-Neckar in 1982 . In the 1988/89 season, the SG Dielheim was champion of the state league and reached the top division of the Baden Football Association for the first time through promotion to the Baden Association League . The club belonged to the association league until relegation in 2000, only interrupted in 1994/95 by a season in the state league. From 2000 to 2012, twelve seasons followed in the Landesliga Rhein-Neckar. Since relegation in 2012, SG Dielheim has only played lower class in the district league or the district class Heidelberg.
