The SG Empor Klein Wanzleben is a German football club from the sugar village of Klein Wanzleben in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt .
His home is the Klein Wanzleben sports field .

Empor Klein Wanzleben was founded in 1920 under the name Spielvereinigung Klein Wanzleben . Until 1945, the club always acted in a lower class within Central German football, any participation in the Gauliga Mitte or in the finals of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs did not take place.
In 1945 the association was dissolved and re-established as SG Klein Wanzleben . In the period that followed, the loose sports group was renamed ZSG , BSG Ernst Thälmann , Traktor and Empor Klein Wanzleben with the entry of the Empor sports association and the local sugar factory .
On a sporting level, Klein Wanzleben was represented in the Saxony-Anhalt state league from 1950 onwards , but played no role in the possible promotion to the GDR league . In the 1949/50 season, Klein Wanzleben also took part in the FDGB Cup once, losing 2-5 in the first main round of the SG German People's Police Schwerin .
In 1952 Empor Klein Wanzleben was one of the founding members of the newly created third-class district league Magdeburg . Empor Klein Wanzleben held the district league until 1987, with brief interruptions. The best result was the runner-up in 1979 behind Lok Halberstadt . Empor Klein Wanzleben reached the Magdeburg Cup final in the 1977/78 season, which was lost 1: 4 to Lok Stendal .
At the end of the eighties, the club sank again into the insignificance of GDR football and was then only active in local football in the Bördekreis. The current league is the district class .
