The SHV Grossfeld Cup 2017 is the 76th edition of the Swiss men's handball great field cup competition. Due to the 50th anniversary of HC Horgen , the final tournament takes place in Horgen and HC Horgen is directly qualified for this. The defending champion BSV Borba Luzern does not take part in the cup.

mode

Qualifying round

The qualifying round consists of 3 groups of 5 teams each, who play in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home or one away game for the final round. In the event of a tie, the better goal difference decides.

The playing time in group 1 is 2 times 25 minutes with a 10 minute break, the games against the women's team of the Yellow Winterthur SPL are only 2 times 15 minutes. In groups 2 and 3, the playing time is 2 times 20 minutes.

Final round

In the final round, the 3 group winners from HC Horgen will play in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home or one away game for the Swiss Grossfeld Cup. In the event of a tie, the better goal difference decides.

The playing time in the final round is 2 times 25 minutes.
