The SNCF BB 20200 is a French electric locomotive series for use on the French AC network and the AC network of DB and SBB . The locomotives were built by Alsthom in 1970.
description
These locomotives are part of a large series, the "BB Alsthom". Although only 13 locomotives of the type BB 20200 were delivered, there are many sister locomotives: 146 BB 8500 , 294 BB 16500 , 105 BB 17000 and 194 BB 25500 .
The BB 20200 is capable of two systems and can be used in the border area between France, Germany and Switzerland. The maximum speed is 140 km / h for long-distance trains. All BB 20200 are push-pull and double-traction capable. The locomotives were taken out of service in 2006 because the BB 37000 was a powerful successor.
The BB 20210 is in the Mulhouse Railway Museum .
