SV Casino Kleinwalsertal
The SV Casino Kleinwalsertal is an Austrian sports club. Because of the special location of Kleinwalsertal - the place belongs to the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, the main access is from Germany - the club belongs to both the Vorarlberg sports association ASVÖ and the Bavarian state sports association BLSV.
The association operates u. a. the divisions darts , football , tennis and table tennis . The table tennis women's team, which played in the 2nd German Bundesliga from 1994 to 2003, became famous.
Table tennis
The table tennis department is a member of the Vorarlberg Table Tennis Association and the Bavarian Table Tennis Association and takes part in games in Bavaria.
Supported by the main sponsor, the Austrian casino Casino Kleinwalsertal, the women's team achieved several promotions, starting in the regional league up to the 2nd Bundesliga . In 1994 the jump from the Regionalliga Süd to the 2nd BL took place. Here she took top places several times in the following years. At the end of the 2002/03 season she was champion in the 2nd Bundesliga South with the line-up Jana Dobešová , Yang Xu Janhua, Sandra Peter, Barbara Kantner, Angelina Gürz and Yvonne Steinbrecher. However, the club did not notice the promotion to the 1st Bundesliga. Instead, he withdrew the team from the BL for financial reasons, and the team disbanded.
In addition to experienced players, young talents have also been integrated into the team over the years.
