The SV Frauenbiburg (officially: Sportverein Frauenbiburg eV ) is a sports club from the Dingolfing district of Frauenbiburg in Lower Bavaria . The club offers football and tennis . The first women's soccer team played in the Regionalliga Süd from 2015 to 2019 . The B-Juniors played in the Bundesliga for three years .

history

The association was founded on October 27, 1963. A year later, two men's teams and an A youth team started playing. The men's team of SV Frauenbiburg made it to the district league in 2009. Since relegation in 2015, the team has been playing in the Straubing district league . The home venue is the Waldstadion .

The soccer players of SV Frauenbiburg played in the district league until the mid-2000s. In 2006 the team was promoted to the Niederbayern regional league, before being promoted to the southern regional league two years later. There the team immediately became runner-up behind TV Altötting . Since he renounced the promotion, the women from Hamburg went up to the Bavarian League. After a runner-up in 2014 behind FC Ingolstadt 04 , the team became champions a year later and rose to the Regionalliga Süd. There, the women from Hamburg were runner-up behind the second team of SC Freiburg in 2017 . Two years later, he was relegated to the Bayern League.

The B-Juniors of SV Frauenbiburg were among the founding members of the Bundesliga in 2012. After a seventh place in the 2013/14 season , relegation followed a year later .
